Ann sighed, trying her best to calm the half-mer. “Vorel, you guys really don’t have to… It was their fault, and once again, this was eight years ago. A slightly different time then, from what I understand. Less- less actual protocol, at least at the Zonot we were at. Which uh… I can’t actually remember which one it was… was it eight? no… seven…”

"I understand, but our goal is to improve Ravnica.  and we will be forever incapable of truly realizing this goal if we fail to come to terms with those who were harmed by our prior actions.  Just that know our offer will always stand if you decide to take it."

"Alright, alright, alright! I’ll keep it in mind! Just- don’t get so worked up over it, okay? I’d much rather figure out who killed my brother than get- reparations or whatever for my parents…"

Vorel gave a sad nod.  “If you think that we could do anything to determine who did that, we would be quite willing to help you in that task.”

"Well, that was five years ago, so the trail is definitely cold."

"I am sorry for your losses then."

"I’m- don’t look so guilty! I’m not upset, really! It was their own faults, they created the thing that killed them. They should have been more careful! Besides… they weren’t really raising me, anyway. Christian was. They were too busy with their work at the Combine to be home half the time…"

Vorel attempted to regain his composure, “Well we are still responsible for failing to provide adequate safety controls to keep our researchers safe.  If you ever need anything from the Simic, it would be our duty to provide it for you.”

Vorel looked rather ill now, “I know nothing we can do can compensate you for your losses, and we are deeply sorry for the tardiness of our offer, but we are trying to do what we can to make things right with people who have loss their lives in the noble search for progress.”  He said as he looked down at his feet.

It’s a little long…. sorry?

But there’s 14, asked by… Thalia.

13, by Jeleva.

22, by Shuichi-san!

12, by Mister Beleren…

3, by an anon…

5, by an anon… maybe a different anon? I don’t know.

and uh, finally, 24, by miss Minyx!

"We at the Simic have created a Krasis Damage fund, feel free to visit Zameck guildhall to claim your damages, we give our deep condolences for your losses."

"Vorel… this happened like, eight years ago…"

Vorel shifted uncomfortably in his boots, “we have lackluster accounting and the policy has just been implemented based on many complaints of accidents.”

"They were members of the Combine… They died on the job…"

The indecisive Planeswalker

askvorelofthehullclade:

Sarro sighed inwardly as he listened to Vorel’s words. You’d think hearing of a world completely cut off from two of the five kinds of mana would at least earn him a raised eyebrow from someone as learned as Vorel, though perhaps the merfolk didn’t care enough to adress the subject. If it did bother him he certainly didn’t show it. Either way, Sarro listened carefully. Despite having spent most of his life outside Zendikaran settlements Sarro had at least enough knowledge of human interaction to know that the Simic representative likely wouldn’t tell him anything he didn’t want to hear. He knew that his abilities made him a valuable ally which meant that everyone here who knew his nature would choose his words very carefully to avoid alienating him. But none of that mattered to the planeswalker right now. As long as he didn’t get the feeling they were outright lying to him he’d simply play along and listen closely. After all, he’d have plenty of time to find out the less pleaseant sides of the guilds.

"I can see what you mean. It does seem like nature is fighting a losing battle in this world, as impossible as that sounds. The Gruul seem intent on reducing the entire city to rubble to return nature to it’s rightful place, though I’m concerned how many people would die if they managed to accomplish their goal. I said it before, I come from a dangerous world. I’ve seen what happens to people who go into the wilds unprepared. And from what little I’ve seen of this world, most of this cities’ inhabitants seem to have enough trouble surviving the way things are.

And yeah, I can show you a couple things right now if you like. Though if you want to see anything impressive we should probably take this elsewhere. I’m not concerned about the creatures I summon here going out of control, but we might want to go somewhere with more space and less fragile equipment that might catch fire or break into pieces.”

"The Gruul are short sighted, they only can accept pure nature and the rest of Ravnica would not accept that goal and would defeat that in a heartbeat.  We at the simic desire  more realistic goals.  We desire to adapt nature so that it would be able to thrive in this environment."  At his offer, Vorel led him out of his lab and into a large open room

"Here is where we test out our more aggressive experiments, I’m sure it would be suited for you.

askvorelofthehullclade:

"Alright. That would be much appreciated. I moved out of Tolsimir’s for a reason. Anyway, I found another part of my garden that went sour. Maybe the constant freezing temperatures did something or whatever, but nothing will grow there. Oh and I’m now all fluffy because of the winter. Maybe the Simic could study that and compensate me for it," she said.

"We are not interested in winter fur consistency, however we would be happy to make your plants more winter resistant."

"Do keep in mind that now Yeva can rest in peace. I also don’t know if you heard, but I moved back to my old place a few weeks ago," she said casually. "My garden and going on regular patrols have helped keep me sane."

"maybe I could visit once my work is done, I have some materials that will improve any garden." He said as he gestured at the simic supplies.  The barrel shook violently  "because of your prior service for our guild, we will supply them at a heavily reduced price."

"Come on Vorel. I am Jace’s Representative. I am willing to work with the Simic if you need something done, however. I also helped defeat the impostor, by the way. Ravnica is safe. And besides, you do have a nice backside."

"Thank you for the offer, right now I don’t have anything in particular for you to provide for us."

He then grinned, despite himself, “on the other information that you have provided me, well is there any particular use for that little fact.”

"I’ve been busy, researching and working to reestablish our guild’s status in Ravnica, have you come buy to offer your services to us, or just to compliment my backside."

Your muse walks in while mine is bent over to pick something up, causing them to get a nice, long look at their ass. How does your muse respond?
